This year the Baku Bears R.S.C. committee have organised various fund raising events through out the year to enable the club to achieve its goals for 2008/2009 season. The clubs goal has been explained in detail in the sponsorship section of our web site. The fund raising events held so far this year have been a great success both in fund raising and social occasions. The list below shows you past events and what is planned for the rest off the season. Along with the list below we continually run a 15 goal buster we have recently compleated our 4th buster of the season which Clark McDonald (Vice President) has championed this through out the season and has done a great job in assisting the fund raising activities within the club.
The club had another successful gentlemens evening in the Western bar this was held along the same format as the last gentlemens night. The club once again thanks all that have assisted.
The Seventies/Eighties disco night was held in the Tiger Bar the disc jockey on the evening Colin Rosie once again and played a great selection of music on the evening money was taken for music requests and the bucket was passed around for donations. The evening was a great success both socially and in fund raising. The club once again thanks all that have assisted.
The alternative burns night has now been running in Baku for approximately 6 years and is normally in the past been a charity night for local charities. This year the organisers of this event approached the Baku Bears R.S.C. and offered the club to run this event in conjunction with the Baku Bears R.S.C. to assist with our fund raising this year. This was much appreciated by the club who took up their offer. The night was a great success with many prizes donated by local businesses the main prize of the evening was donated by the Baku Bears R.S.C (Laptop)
Christmas Raffle (December 2008)
The Christmas raffle was once again a great fund raiser for the club this year and was greatly supported by many individuals and companies donating prices. Once again our main two prizes where two return tickets to Paris donated by Ondeo. And two return tickets to Dubai donated by the Baku Bears R.S.C. This year it was noted how much interest was shown by the local community in the draw and with there participation in buying tickets and supporting the clubs Christmas draw. The draw was held in the Clansman Bar please see list of this years winners.

Tony Cable the owner of the Tiger bar matched the money raised on the night and donated it to the club thank you Tony. The evening was a great success both socially and in fund raising.
The club organised a gentlemens evening which was held in the Western bar Baku this was a ticket only event and was attended by approximately 70 people. With many of the companies that are currently operating in Baku sponsoring this evening it has been by far our most successful fund raising event. This event was a great success and also on the evening many great prizes were won.

The ten pin bowling night was organised and held at the Olympic Star bowling alley in Baku. 11 lanes where taken on the evening each containing two teams of four. The winning team on the evening was the Strikers (AMEC) and the highest scorer on the evening was Brad the club presented both the winning team and the highest scorer with trophies. The feed back we got after the event was great and the club was asked when it would be holding another bowling night once again a very successful event on both accounts.
