Baku Bears weekly update 6th December 2013

11 Dec

Hello Hello
Last Saturdays game was very well attended in the Phoenix with Rangers eventually running out 2 nil winners.
The draw for the next round was also favourable to us with a home game against either Ayr United or Dunfermline, game to be played 8/9th February 2014.

The full draw for the next round is as follows:
Alloa v Dumbarton
Clyde or Stranraer v Inverness CT
Hibe v Raith Rovers
Albion Rovers v Stenhousemuir
Brechin or Forfar v St Johnstone
Them v the sheep
Dundee Utd v Queen of the South or St Mirren.

Rangers returned to league action on Tuesday evening with a very comfortable 6 – 1 win against Forfar with Nicky Clark scoring 4 of the goals.
This was Rangers 14th win from as many league games and also their 19th successive victory in all competitions – a new post war record.

There was a members meeting in the Phoenix on Wednesday, many thanks for those members who attended. Minutes of the meeting will be distributed next week to all members.

Our next game is tomorrow evening (Saturday) with a home game against Ayr Untied. The game has been confirmed as being shown on RTV and will be shown in the Phoenix with a 7pm kick off (Baku Time).
Club merchandise and the Festive Season raffle tickets will be available.
We would ask that members take 100AZN worth of tickets for selling and of course should any member wish to donate a prize for the draw this will be gratefully received.
